Our verdict
The pitch is the best one in the industry: no upfront fees, you pay only after the debt is reduced. If that is what actually happens, it is exactly the incentive structure our fee rubric rewards. It is why we looked hard at the gap between the marketing and the reviews.
The reviews describe a different arrangement. Clients report starting payments, then being told the funder will not settle at the promised figure, and ending up paying more than the original balance. Several describe trying to cancel and being told they owed 20% of the loan amount to walk away. A cancellation fee that size is not a results-only fee. It is a fee that exists whether or not results do, which is the thing the marketing promised would never happen.
Now the part that is fair to the company, because it matters. That 20% figure never became a lawsuit, an FTC or state attorney general matter, or a documented BBB complaint pattern. We looked. It lives on Trustpilot and nowhere else, which makes it a pattern in public reviews rather than a finding of fact, and we are not going to inflate it into one.
One thing to hand them, and one to withhold. The BBB profile does exist, under an Albuquerque address, with an A rating and a start date of September 2024. But that A sits on a completely empty file, zero reviews and zero complaints, because the company is not yet two years old. An algorithmic grade on an empty record is not a satisfaction signal, and anyone quoting it at you as one is misreading it.
What we can check is the paperwork, and the paperwork is silent. The published terms contain no occurrence of the words fee, cancel, refund, or the figure 20%. The same terms name the operator as HBD media LTD, LLC and describe it as a Pennsylvania company, and we could not locate that entity in Pennsylvania’s business registry, though that dataset excludes trade-name filings so treat it as unconfirmed rather than disproven. The address printed is an Albuquerque mailbox. A firm whose entire pitch is that you only pay on results should be able to point at the clause that says so.
